N+1 Eolia SGECR, S.A. the Eolia Renovables management company, is the only company of its kind in Spain, exclusively dedicated to consulting on and managing renewable energy projects. The company is majority owned by the N+1 Group and the other shareholders are Indigo Energías Renovables, BBK, Fonditel and the Bankinter Group. It currently manages two vehicles: Eolia Renovables de Inversiones and Eolia Mistral de Inversiones. The company was incorporated on February 24, 2005 and registered with the Administrative Registry of the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV) on April 29, 2005 under number 48.
N+1 Eolia forms part of the N+1 Group (www.nmas1.com), an independent entity specialised in high added-value financial products and services, and its activities can be grouped into two major business lines: the management of alternative assets and financial advice for companies (investment bank) and family groups (wealth advisory services). The Group currently has assets under management in excess of €3 billion, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, London and Frankfurt and some 150 employees. N+1 also manages Dinamia Capital Privado, Sociedad de Capital Riesgo, S.A. (www.dinamia.es), which is the first and only listed private equity firm in Spain (IPO - December 1997).
The N+1 Eolia management team has strong experience in the renewable energy sector and some team members have been involved in it since the outset.
The combined asset portfolio of Eolia Renovables will represent an aggregate investment of more than €2 billion. Since its inception N+1 Eolia has negotiated and signed supply, operating and maintenance agreements in respect of wind and solar power farms comprising a total of 714 MW. Similarly, N+1 Eolia has negotiated and signed a total of 18 non-recourse financing agreements for the construction of projects involving in excess of €1 billion.
